1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Pete's Tech Help. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our computer repair, technical support, and IT services, as well as your communications with our business. By requesting, scheduling, or receiving services from Pete's Tech Help, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.Pete's Tech Help is a computer repair and technical support business serving Oakland County and Macomb County in Michigan. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you") and Pete's Tech Help ("Company," "we," "us," "our").

Pete's Tech Help provides the following services, which may include but are not limited to:

Operating system installation and troubleshooting
Network setup and Wi-Fi troubleshooting

Smart home device setup and support
Printer and peripheral setup
General technical support and consultation
On-site and remote support services
Service availability, scope, and pricing may vary. We reserve the right to decline any service request at our discretion.
3. Scheduling & Appointments
Appointments may be scheduled by phone, text message, email, or through our online booking system. By submitting a service request or booking an appointment, you agree to provide accurate contact information and to be available at the agreed-upon time.If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in a cancellation fee or refusal of future service.
4. Text Messaging (SMS) TermsSMS Consent & Opt-In
By providing your phone number to Pete's Tech Help — whether through our website, online booking form, phone call, or in person — you consent to receive text messages (SMS and MMS) from us related to your service requests, appointments, invoices, quotes, and general business communications.Your consent is not a condition of purchasing any service from us.Types of MessagesText messages from Pete's Tech Help may include:Appointment confirmations, reminders, and schedule updatesService quotes and invoicesJob status updates and completion notificationsFollow-up messages and service satisfaction inquiriesResponses to your inquiriesMessage Frequency & RatesMessage frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your text messaging plan and any charges that may apply. Opting OutYou may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further text messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.To opt back in to text messages, you may text START to our business number or contact us directly.Help & SupportFor assistance with text messaging, reply HELP to any message from us, or contact us using the information provided in Section 10 of these Terms.Carrier DisclaimerPete's Tech Help is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to carrier network issues, device incompatibility, or changes in your phone number or wireless plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Pricing & Payment
Service fees will be communicated to you prior to or at the time of service through a quote or estimate. By authorizing work to proceed, you agree to pay the quoted price for the services rendered.Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, check, credit/debit cards, and other electronic payment methods as made available. Additional parts or materials may be quoted separately.If a service requires parts that must be ordered, a deposit may be required. All deposits are non-refundable once parts have been ordered.
6. Warranty & Liability
Pete's Tech Help warrants its labor and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the date of service completion. This warranty covers the specific issue addressed during the service visit. It does not cover new or unrelated issues, damage caused by misuse, power surges, software conflicts, or third-party modifications.Replacement parts carry the manufacturer's warranty, if applicable. Pete's Tech Help is not responsible for any pre-existing hardware or software conditions, data loss, or device failure beyond the scope of the service performed.Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pete's Tech Help's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.We strongly recommend that all customers maintain current backups of their data before any service is performed. Pete's Tech Help is not responsible for data loss during the course of repairs or technical support.
7. Customer Data & Privacy
We collect and use your personal information (including your name, phone number, email address, and service address) solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services, communicating with you about your appointments and service requests, and processing payments.We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. 8. Customer Conduct
We are committed to providing excellent service in a respectful and professional environment. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to any customer who engages in abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior toward our staff.Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to equipment and work areas for on-site service visits.
9. Modifications to Terms
Pete's Tech Help reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any changes.
